西川緑道公園で仏発祥「隣人祭り」－巻きずしで親睦図る ／岡山
岡山の西川緑道公園内、野殿（のどの）橋付近で6月1日、「西川 隣人（りんじん）祭り－La Fete des Voisins」が開催される。（岡山経済新聞）

「隣人祭り」は1999年にパリのアパートで起きた高齢者の孤独死をきっかけに始まった祭り。隣人間のコミュニケーション低下を防ぐため、住民たちが食べ物や飲み物を持ち寄りマンションの中庭などで食事会を開き親睦を深めるもので、世界各国に広がりつつあるという。
開催は今回が初めて。「岡山市民の日」である6月1日に合わせて開く。1回目となる今回は集まった参加者らで「巻きずしを巻いて食べる」という。地域住民がメーンだが誰でも参加でき、参加費は500円（要事前予約）。食材は岡山県産のものを中心に主催者が用意する。12時からは野殿橋ステージ上で書道詩人・寺山喜博（よしひろ）さんによる、依頼者から得たインスピレーションを言葉と書で表現する「書き下ろしパフォーマンス」も予定する。
実行委員代表の山本和志さん（45）は「子どもからおじいちゃん、おばあちゃんまで一緒に気軽に参加できる会。皆で手巻きずしを作って食べるまでの工程を楽しみながら自然に交流できる場をつくりたい」と話す。「西川周辺エリアは店舗や飲食店が並ぶ街中にありながらマンションも多い。いざという時に助け合えるよう普段からの付き合いが重要。これを一つのきっかけにしていただけたら」とも。
