地球の未来を考えて—。岡山市は今秋に市内で開かれる「ＥＳＤ（持続可能な開発のための教育）に関するユネスコ世界会議」に向け、市民に思い描く世界や地域の将来像をつづってもらう「未来へつなぐメッセージ」を募集している。
　メッセージは市が用意したＡ４判の用紙を使用。思い描く先として５、１０、５０、１００年後から一つを選び、世界やまちをどんな姿にしたいか、その時に自分が何をしていたいかを記入する。「未来に約束」と題し、自分が今できることも書き込む。
　区役所や公民館、図書館に用紙を置き、応募を受け付けている。イベント会場などで、書いた人にメッセージを持ってもらって写真を撮る取り組みもしており「気軽に集える場の多いまちになれば」「笑顔があふれる市にしたい」といった言葉が寄せられている。
　集まったメッセージは１１月６日に岡山シンフォニーホール（同市北区表町）であるオープニングイベントや、世界会議に合わせて開くサイドイベントなどで展示する。応募は１１月末まで受け付ける。
　市ＥＳＤ世界会議推進局は「地球の将来を想像し、自分にできることを考えるきっかけにしてほしい」と呼び掛けている。

「きゅうり封じ」で健康に　岡山・石山寺

　「土用の丑の日」の２９日、津山市大谷の石山寺で夏野菜のキュウリに願いを封じ込めて祈祷（きとう）する「きゅうり封じ」が行われた。

　真夏の厳しい暑さを、みずみずしいキュウリにあやかって乗り切り、健康に過ごせるようにと、約４００年前から土用の丑の日に合わせて行われている。

　本堂の仏前には、護符と呼ばれるお札が埋め込まれ、信徒らの願いを書いた紙が巻かれたキュウリ約３５０本が供えられ、加藤圓祥住職（６７）らが祈祷（きとう）を行った。キュウリは翌朝、境内の一角に埋められ、願いが封じ込められるという。

献立作成サービス「ミーニュー」に新機能－岡山のIT企業が開発

ミーニュー（岡山市北区津島中1）が開発した献立作りを代行するウェブサービス「me:new（ミーニュー）」に7月、新機能が加わった。
ユーザーの好みや栄養バランスに配慮した1週間分の献立を作成する同サービス。「忙しい主婦の負担を少しでも減らしたい」と開発した。3月に行われたドコモ・イノベーションビレッジではグランプリに輝いた。
専属の栄養士が献立の栄養バランスも考えた献立を作成する。「あまりに難しい料理は入れない」「同じ食材は重ねない」など独自のルールで「献立作りの煩わしさを解決する」という。今回のリニューアルでは自分以外のユーザーの献立表も見られるようにした。
「スタートアップ企業はどうしても東京に集中している。岡山でも可能だが、スタートアップできる環境が岡山にももっとあるとうれしい」と三宅伸之社長は話す

　起業した当初に収入がほとんどなくなってしまう不安をなくし、大企業などに勤務する優秀な技術者や研究者の起業を後押しする。特に将来の市場拡大が見込まれるロボットなど製造業関連での起業を期待している。

　起業家が、経済産業省所管の独立行政法人「新エネルギー・産業技術総合開発機構（ＮＥＤＯ）」の関連会社の契約社員になる形をとり、ＮＥＤＯが生活費を「給与」として支払う。８月１８日まで募集し、１５社（１社当たり最大３人）程度を選ぶ予定だ。

　ＮＥＤＯは、試作品づくりや市場調査のための補助金（上限は年間１５００万円）も支給する。
