岡山のシェアスペース「NAWATE」（岡山市北区奉還町4）が7月、1周年を迎えた。
ゲストハウス「とりいくぐる」を中心にショップ、アトリエ、ワークショップスペース、カフェ、ラウンジ、私設図書館などから成る同施設は人の集う交流スペースとなっている。トレードマークの赤い鳥居をくぐって中に入ることが施設名「NAWATE」の由来。
7月26日・27日には1周年記念イベント「小さな夏祭り」を開催。お祭りイベントは今回で4回目。今回のテーマは「シゴトとセイカツとワタシ」。両日ともトークショー、ワークショップを開くほか、フードや雑貨のショップが出店する。25日は関西編、26日は岡山編とし出店者も全て入れ替える。トークショーではグラフィックデザイナーの森口耕次さん、アパレルメーカー社長の元田恵介さんがスピーカーとして登場を予定。ワークショップでは、「趣味ではなく、なりわいをつくる」ワークショップが行うという。
「当施設の醍醐味（だいごみ）は、地元の人と旅の人だけでなく、地元の人同士、旅の人同士の出会いがあり、互いに気付きがあること」と管理人の明石健治さん。
開催時間は両日10時～18時。26日のみライブも予定。トークショー、ワークショップは事前予約が必要。ゲストハウス「とりいくぐる」の営業時間は16時～22時。ドミトリーは1泊2,800円。個室も用意する。

貨幣を製造する造幣局（大阪市）と紙幣を印刷している国立印刷局（東京都港区）が２３日から、岡山天満屋（岡山市北区）で、お金にかかわる歴史や技術などを紹介する「お金と切手の展覧会」を開催する。３０日まで。

　全国各地の百貨店を会場に、毎年１回夏休みに行われており、岡山市での開催は今回で２回目。岡山展の開催を記念して、桃太郎をデザインしたケースに１円から５００円までを収納した貨幣セット（１８５０円）も販売される。

　展覧会では世界最大級の金貨として知られる安土桃山時代の「天正長大判」などを展示するほか、近代の貨幣の変遷や硬貨の製造工程の解説、１億円の重さ体験コーナーなどもある。
