商店街振興へ岡山・香川で連携を
岡山、香川両県議会の正副議長による意見交換会が２９日、高松市の丸亀町商店街であり、１２月にＪＲ岡山駅南で大型商業施設・イオンモール岡山が開業することなどを踏まえ、商店街の振興で連携を図ることを確認した。
岡山の小田圭一、香川の宮本欣貞の両議長があいさつ。小田議長は同モールの開業に触れ「既存店舗への影響が懸念される。イオンと共存共栄するよう努力したい」と述べた。
非公開の協議では、商店街再生のモデルとされる丸亀町商店街の古川康造・振興組合理事長から民間主導による再開発の経緯について説明を受けた。商店街活性化の施策に反映させるため、情報交換に努めることで一致したという。
意見交換会は２００５年から年２回程度開いている。
