イオン、2500台の臨時駐車場
JR岡山駅南に11月開業予定の大型商業施設「イオンモール岡山」(岡山市北区下石井)の開発・運営会社イオンモール(千葉市)は9日、岡山市郊外を中心に約2500台の臨時駐車場を確保する方針を明らかにした。店舗に併設する約2500台と合わせて約5千台を専用駐車場に充てることで、開業時の交通渋滞緩和を図る。
臨時駐車場は、JR北長瀬駅(岡山市北区北長瀬表町)近くのアクションスポーツパーク岡山跡地に1千台、9月末で閉店するイオン岡山店(同青江)に200台を確保。残る約1300台も遊休地を借り上げる方向で官民と交渉中という。臨時駐車場は当面、来年1月末までの予定。
店舗と臨時駐車場の間は送迎バスを走らせるほか、JRやバスなどの公共交通機関の利用を促すこととし、運賃負担や特典を検討する。このほか、提携駐車場も岡山駅周辺などに確保する。
