路面電車岡山駅乗り入れで具体案
路面電車のＪＲ岡山駅東口広場への乗り入れを検討している岡山市は２０日、昨年提示した４案の具体案として、軌道の敷設ルートや概算事業費などの異なる計１２パターンを示した。３月末までに採用パターンの絞り込みを目指す。
４案は、現在の岡山駅前電停から路線を延ばす「平面乗り入れ」▽同電停の手前から高架化し、駅２階の東西連絡通路と接続させる「高架乗り入れ」▽同電停の手前から潜り、地下街の隣接地に電停を新設する「地下乗り入れ」▽路面電車を広場に乗り入れず、東西連絡通路と同電停を結ぶ「歩行者デッキ設置」。
「平面」は３パターンで、いずれも広場内に電停を新設する。１パターンは広場中央に乗り入れる。残る２パターンは広場南部に電停を設け、タクシー乗り場を高架化する。
「高架」も３パターンを提示。高架の支柱が地下街に与える影響を考慮し、東西連絡通路との接続位置に変化をつけている。
「地下」は駅前電停直下で既設の地下通路につなげるなど２パターンを示した。
「デッキ」は最多の４パターン。うち３パターンは直線状のデッキで、岡山駅と駅前電停を結ぶ。残る１パターンは円形デッキを巡らせる。
概算事業費は「平面」で広場中央へ乗り入れるパターンが最も低額で９億８千万円。最も高額なのは「高架」の１パターンで４６億１千万円。ＪＲとの乗り換え距離は「高架」が最も短く、「地下」と「デッキ」は距離を短縮しにくい。
具体案は、同市内で開いた調査検討会（座長・阿部宏史岡山大副学長）の第２回会合で明らかにした。出席したバスやタクシーの事業者、住民代表らは「政令指定都市の顔にふさわしい案にしてもらいたい」「将来、路面電車を市役所筋に延伸する可能性に配慮してもらいたい」などと述べた。
市はこの日の議論を参考にパターンを絞り込み、３月末をめどにした次回会合で示す予定。絞り込みは複数パターンになる可能性もある。

＜路面電車＞岡山駅乗り入れ巡って意見交換－－検討会 ／岡山
岡山市街地を走る路面電車の駅前広場乗り入れについて議論する第２回調査検討会（事務局・岡山市街路交通課）が２０日、北区であった。識者や公共交通機関の運営会社、市民らで構成する委員が出席し、新設する電停の場所などについて意見を出し合った。
現在、路面電車の「岡山駅前電停」はＪＲ岡山駅から交差点を隔てた場所にある。検討会では、路線を延伸して平面で乗り入れる▽高架を造り、駅の東西連絡通路と同じ高さに乗り入れる▽地下に電停を造る▽現在の電停と駅の東西連絡通路を歩行者デッキでつなぐ－－の４パターンを市が提示。各パターンにつき２～４の具体案を挙げて長所や短所を説明し、委員に意見を募った。委員からは「将来的に路線を拡張することも考えて設計を」といった意見が出た。
駅前広場乗り入れは、中心市街地の活性化への取り組みとして市が検討している。第１回検討会は８月にあった。次回は春に開く予定。
